I called Fastlines Movers for a short move within Waltham to Brighton . Very smooth, fast and stress-free. Direct and to the point. Three movers showed up five minutes early and got to work. Stuff went in truck – drove to new apartment, then everything was unloaded to my specification and we were done.
They even gracefully dealt with an unexpected complication when there were illegally-parked cars in my designated and permitted moving space.
Moving is one of the worst things one will ever go through, but I have to say that this step in my process was definitely the easiest. The entire move was done in about an hour and a half (this was for a small one-bedroom-sized amount of stuff).
I received a quote over the phone very quickly from the moving company in Waltham. Nothing was broken. Everyone was very easy to talk to and I knew all the details at every step of the process. I will work with them again, for sure.
Moving it from Boston to New York
I used Benny’s moving from Boston to New York, with 2 months’ storage in between. They came to my place, picked everything up, put it in storage for two months and then brought everything to my new place in New York City.
The move couldn’t have gone smoother. David replies quickly and has great communication. They are very up front with costs and anything extra, for example I needed a couple large picture frame boxes which they provided at pretty much the same price i would have paid at home depot. The Three guys showed up on time and worked super quickly but carefully. They disassembled my ikea bed and helped me take down my curtain rods. The guys were total pros and very friendly and they gave us free mattress covers and free packing tape.
There were no problems when I called to schedule the delivery to New York, and they showed up around 7:30am after driving over from Boston (I didn’t even have to take time off from work). To be honest, I was a bit concerned about how my mostly Ikea furniture would hold up to moving, but with the exception of a few nicks and bumps it came out unscathed. The only casualties were a couple cheap wine glasses that I probably didn’t pack too well. It took them a little over a half hour to unload everything (one bedroom worth of stuff) including assembling my bed back together. I think the total for moving my stuff from my apartment in Boston to their storage, storing it there for two months, and moving it from Boston to New York came to about $1750 with tip. Well worth the money, to my opinion I think they are the best moving company in Boston.

These movers are awesome! We used them 3 times to move from a condo in Boston to a house in the suburbs. Half of our stuff was in the condo, the other half was in storage unit, and in the middle of it all we had to meet with our lawyer for an hour so they were on their own, and were totally competent. They worked so quickly and did an awesome job, and at a far more reasonable price than movers we’ve used in the past.
Once we got to the house, they were careful to put all boxes in their correct rooms which really minimized any additional moving/heavy lifting that they would have to do. Since they were with us through lunchtime, we ordered them pizza, and they took 15 minutes off the final cost of their services for the lunch break- totally unnecessary, but goes to show how conscientious they are about their work. In addition to working quickly and effectively, they’re very nice guys.
This was one of our best moving experiences overall, I’d definitely recommend Benny’s moving!

THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING.
I needed professional movers in Boston at the very last minute on the last weekend of the month during the summer, so basically everyone was already booked up. I used their online estimating tool, and someone called me 15 minutes later. They booked me for the evening, which was all they had left for the day.
I called Benny’s Moving in the middle of the day to see if they thought they would be running on time, and they told me around 5:45. Literally at 5:44, the movers showed up. I booked 2 guys, and they sent 3. They looked at my stuff and said, “is that it?!” [For the record, I own a full, well-furnished One bedroom apartment’s worth of stuff
They had everything in the truck is half an hour. They were finishing up and so my BFF and I decided to go ahead to the new place.
The best part? THEY BEAT US TO THE HOUSE
They had everything unloaded quickly, and they charged me only for the 2 guys I had booked.
I will never ever, ever try to bribe my poor friends to move me with pizza and beer when I can pay these guys less than $500 to move me without hassle.

Needed to find a moving company in Waltham on short notice. Terry is AWESOME! Scheduled me, took care of the paperwork and even added insurance to his policy that my new building required he have.
Showed up on-time and the move went so fast that he left to take care of some urgent business with another customer while Marvin and William helped finish up (at a reduced rate!).
I have always moved myself and never wrap anything. They wrapped EVERYTHING in a moving blanket and taped it up. Literally nothing was scratched and they even got a sleeper sofa down a narrow staircase from the 3rd floor. Even though it took longer to do all the taping / unwrapping, it was well worth it.
Also, had a unique situation where we picked up 2 people’s stuff, dropped off 1 person’s, picked up another’s, then unloaded everything else at a 3rd location. Terry was more than accommodating.

Top notch. I needed a rush moving job done and was able to schedule something within 48 hours of my phone call, AND it was an after hours move. They were on time, professional movers, but at least attempted to miss the traffic from Waltham, MA to Somerville. They took great care of my stuff, and were successful in removing my awkward-as-ass antique sofa from one twisty-staircased Somerville apartment to ANOTHER twisty-staircased Somerville apartment. They had to hoist the damn thing into my new home due to the layout, and were ultimately successful and charged me about $119 more for this unexpected need, which was less than I expected. They took great care of all of my stuff, wrapping everything and being extremely diligent about avoiding bumping furniture against things. Super impressed. Thank you Fastlines moving and storage Waltham.
If I need another mover, I’d definitely use them. End of story.

Used these guys for a moving from Boston to Washington DC about a month ago. My girlfriend and I were nervous about long-distance moving and all of its accompanying stresses, but Benny’s Moving was fantastic throughout the entire process. I first had contact with Alex to coordinate and schedule the move, and found him to be friendly, helpful, never pushy, and very willing to address any concerns we had. We were given a flat-rate estimate, which covered absolutely everything and was very reasonable (we did some shopping around to price out other movers as well). The company stayed 100% true to this estimate the entire time and there were no extra charges.
Our actual move was done by Terry, William, and a third guy who was there only for the loading up and whose name is Marvin. All three movers were courteous, thorough, and gentle with our belongings. They showed up right on time the following morning in DC and unloaded everything where we wanted it, carefully unwrapped fragile items, and reassembled furniture.
Everything about our experience with Benny’s Moving and storage was positive and most importantly for us: painless and stress-free. This is honestly one of the best moving companies that I have ever used, in any industry.

I bought moving boxes on Amazon and saw an offer on AmazonLocal for Benny’s Moving and Storage. These guys were fantastic. They showed up on time with tons of packing materials, mattress covers, etc. They wrapped all of my furniture very well and assisted with a short move. They guys were very friendly and professional. They worked the entire time moving my things from one place to another. They were very nice about setting up my new apartment, moving things a few times, and asking me where stuff should go. Since there was a short delay in arrival, they didn’t charge me for the travel time which was very nice and surprising because my previous move with another moving company they charged me One hour travel time.
I have already recommended them to several friends and I recommend them to all of you Yelpers out there!
